The opening night starts at 7 PM until midnight.  There are so many cool pieces displayed in the shop I hope you'll enjoy them.  

I'd also like to recommend their handcrafted ice cream, they are really delicious (my favorite is Taro flavor)!

Frank & Son Collectible Show - Holiday Season

Long Beach Comic Con Preview

 

Tomorrow and Sunday I'll be at Long Beach Comic Con, this will be our last convention in 2013!

Time goes by so fast! 

I will start selling the holiday card at the con and put them up in the store next week, please check it out :)

PMX preview

I can't believe it's been a year!  I debuted at PMX last year, selling postcards and few button sets in Artist alley... it was my first con and I only had a little things....

This year I'm at Exhibit Hall Booth 501!  

I'm partnering up with my friends so our booth will have lots of variety and cute things!

This weekend I'll be at SacAnime in Sacramento!

It'll be my first time visting the capital city of California, but I don't think I'll be doing any sight seeings, still excited tho!

AX2013 was a success, thank you everyone for stopping by! it was so great to meet tons of online members in person :D  I hope you all had a wonderful time at the con! :)

Just in case you were wondering, this is a picture of the south hall (exhibit hall / artist alley).  We were close to the back...

 Oh! The gachapon machine was a huge hit, we actually ran out of buttons!

It's definitely my goal to make all the pokemon into buttons, so perhaps few months later I'll have a bunch Gen 5 and 6 pins available, gotta start drawing!

Anime Expo goods preview

One of the biggest conventions of the year is just around the corner, this 4th of July weekend is all about Anime Expo! It's going to be so crazy! 

I have several new big prints that will only be available at the con, so please come check it out :)

and here is the preview of all the goods that I'll have at AX, there are bunch more stuff and I just can't fit everything here, but basically it's the same from Fanime, with a few new things added ;)

Here is a commission I did while we were at Fanime this past weekend.  It's an original character from a fan, it's a Emolga but with lots of fun attitude and personality!  I worked on this in the hotel room, hence the weird lighting.  I love the expression when the customer came to pick up this piece tho, a smile I will never forget :)

Unfortunately we had to leave Fanime early.  I'm sorry if anyone missed our table.  There were a lot of problems in this con that we found that's unfair and disorganized.

Anyways, time to move on and get ready for the next con!

Fanime goods preview

Phew, I think I finished everything on time!  

Last night I was packing until 1 AM but I think it's all good to go! yay!

Oh, and I just picked up my new prints, they will be available at the con :D  

It's going to be my first time selling large prints, I hope they go well (why do I feel so nervous?)

Tomorrow we are driving up to San Jose, I can't wait to see friends and cosplayers! it's been years since my first visit to Fanime, it's gonna be so much fun!

Mareep things

EQLA was a success! it was our first pony con and we were glad we participated in this fun event.

To me, it was an eye opening experience, it was a good crowd and everyone was very nice and friendly :)

I was really inspired by the enthusiastic fans and artists, there are so many unique idea to learn from, which means...lots things to work on! annnnd It's likely we will be doing this again next year.  Yay! time to work!! (isn't it nice to feel motivated?)

This week I'm focusing on Fanime stuff, I got some great idea from EQLA, so I'm gonna try this out.. it's a Mareep thing, hehe

Not 100% sure where I'm going with this yet, but it will be something new ;)

Oh, hello friend

Over the weekend I was at 2 events, the Oh, Hello Friend store opening and Geeky Glamorous art show. 

I went to the store opening with my dear friend Esmeralda, owner of Azucar Morena blog.  Both of us are big fan of Danni Hong, we love her style and all the creative things she make, it was just so wonderful to see the actual store, and getting inspired from the artsy environment! 

 

Later that night was the opening of the art show in West Hollywood, the store was packed with people! it was definitely a great night to see friends and artists :)

Mandie did a wonderful job organizing the show, and here's a LA weekly article about the exhibit, we are so stoked about the amount of attention and recognition we are receiving, can't wait to see what's waiting for us next!  

 

DesignerCon 2012

Over the weekend I went to Designer Con in Pasadena, it was fun and inspiring, toys, art and design, I am loving it all!  It was definitely bigger than last year, more artists and tables, and it's always good to see old friends too :)  Three26 (that's our official name of our business) will be selling our art next year, it's going to happen, I'm sure.

Printers Fair

Over the weekend I went to the Printers Fair in Los Angeles, the event was held at the international printing museum.  It was my first time visiting a printing fair, it was very exciting and cool, especially I got to learn more about letterpress :)

     

 

 

 



On Saturday I went to the It's a Small World Exhibit at Nucleus
I love visiting the gallery nucleus, they have the coolest event and art shows!
It was one of things I missed so much when I was in Japan!

Joey Chou was there signing his latest children's book:

I adore his style!

There were so many artists and great pieces at the exhibition
I loved the theme so much, it was a cute and colorful!
The highlight of the night was the live painting demos, we got to watch artists paint, how exciting!
In the end I was very lucky to win one of the demo artwork through the raffle, a kitty painting from the talented and beautiful Brigette Barrager!
