Trying to do something different during holiday break, it's going to be a paper cut out piece, and right now I'm working on sketches and color comp, hope it will turn out well.

Christmas commissions for friends, next to their favorite Japanese pop group Arashi

First batch of Xmas card finished and printed! woohoo! I can't believe it's almost December, I still need to do other art for friends, but I think they will look nice, hopefully.
I was at CTN expo last weekend, it was so fun and I was able to meet everyone I admire! I felt so inspired and got really great ideas from the artists I met. Must keep drawing!

Last week I was working on custom maps for these Toyota dealers in Southern California. The clients loved it and I had fun time making them. Someone commented that it looks like a game from Facebook, I haven't been playing so I'm not sure, but to be honest that was the whole idea, although I had no idea what game they were referring to, but glad I got the concept out :D

For the past few weeks I've been traveling, from East coast to West coast including Canada! It was really fun and beautiful, wish I had more time in Quebec, I think that's my favorite part in Canada!
Besides that...I got a new job! I will post some illustrations I did for work later on.

Yay! it's art dump time!
Last week I watched the movie "Rent". The characters were really interesting, I loved Angel especially, he was my favorite!
A few days ago my friend and I did people sketching at District
I've been going to the local library almost everyday, they have tons of reference books!
I decided to start drawing some animals, like birds (because they are so much fun to draw!), perhaps next week I will try cats or dogs :)
then I did some more watercolor practice:

On Saturday I went to the It's a Small World Exhibit at Nucleus
I love visiting the gallery nucleus, they have the coolest event and art shows!
It was one of things I missed so much when I was in Japan!

There were so many artists and great pieces at the exhibition
I loved the theme so much, it was a cute and colorful!
The highlight of the night was the live painting demos, we got to watch artists paint, how exciting!
In the end I was very lucky to win one of the demo artwork through the raffle, a kitty painting from the talented and beautiful Brigette Barrager!

Recently I've been trying to draw pokemon with watercolor





and plus some daily practice...
I got an annual Disneyland pass a few days ago, I got some inspiration after looking around the park, some of their attraction has the coolest art :)

I was working on a topic from Sketchy Wenches today
it's called "Voluptuous Vixens"
just playing around some ideas, looking at lingerie references and trying to get an idea down
I also watched Shoot 'em up, because Monica Bellucci plays a sexy and beautiful hooker in this movie. Man, sexually attractive is difficult to draw :P

I have returned from Japan, wow 2 years, time flies!

Now I am back to blogger, which means... it's art dump time!
